Dip stick screw...

well i unscrewed my dipstick to put in my headers and it gave me the room i needed but now its bent away from where the screw goes... would it be ok if it stays unscrewed?

As long as its pretty far in the hole, its not a problem. Mine's been unscrewed for about 20,000 miles.

Why not just bend it back?

So, what happens when the base of the tube snaps off from metal fatigue due to the effects of vibration? You get an oil leak and a piece of the tube stuck in the block. Why not just make a spacer and get a longer bolt to secure the tube?

Either get it to fit or get a Lokar dipstick.
