A different "out the bottom" ?

I need to tighten up the tranny lines since I was too stupid to remember to put them on while the entire engine, tranny and k-member were out the first time. If I remove the tranny MOUNT and k-member bolts/shock bolts, how far can you lift the body with the harness attached or is it better to just unplug everything? Anyone ever have to do this before?
I'd really like to do the "trap door" method here as well but this is on a seam for the floor pan and cowl so that is definately out of the question.

I have tried everything/tool I have and I see this as the only option at this point.

Pull the crossmember and drop the tranny down.

Tried it tonight. I can't get at the top fitting, at least with a flare nut wrench. The fittings are old and soft. A regular wrench will just round the ends over. I am condisering getting new lines out the tranny and cutting them short and putting a flare on them so if the tranny ever has to( and it will) come out, I can just break them at a spot easier to get at.

It can be done with out unplugging everything. I unplugged the ABS sensors on the rails and I deleted the ABS the weekend before so it was very convenient to disconnect the front brake lines. I dropped the front sway bar and lifted the body. I made short lines that extend down , joined them with a union and re routed the lines so I can,at a later date, use the port on the oil pan for an oil temp gauge. I have a canton pan.
For future reference, there you go......
