what is the difference between the XE224/230 on the 112 lsa and the one on the 114 lsa?
I want my car to be able to pass emissions so i'm most likely getting the 114 lsa but what will be lost from not going with the 112? a little top end power?

 

A higher LSA brings the powerband down......meaning it will reach peak power at a lower RPM. The car will idle better too....won't lope as hard, and will be easier to pass emissions.
