Did you have to bend up your new Kooks LTs like this to fit??

After installing the driver side 1 7/8" stepped Kooks header 3 times, it finally does not rub on the steering shaft coupler when it gets hot.
When first installed, it slightly rubbed the steering coupler, when it got to op temp, it rubbed very bad, enough to make trying to steer dangerous..
I removed it, hammered on it and reinstalled....when it got hot, it still rubbed.
Removed it, hammered some more, installed a 3rd time...finally.
My extremely nice and expensive Kooks header ended up looking like this:

They could have clearly moved that primary tube over a 1/2" towards the head and avoided this issue...really ticks me off.

I got an LS1 steering shaft. I damn sure wouldn't have beat the S*** out of my brand new $800.00 headers.

now that's ghetto....

Should have posted first or called up Kooks to see what a solution was.

I would remove that and see about having it fixed.
