did i get screwed?

hey guys
i just got my ceramic coated hooker long tubes for my 94 z and i paid 590 shipped to my door. is that a good price? also i got 3 different sets of gaskets. one is the stock hooker one which i don't plan on using but the other ones are SCE copper gaskets and earl's performance metal lookin ones which ones should i use? what do ceramic coated headers look like? and is the driver side header suppose to be broke near the top where it installs to the head? because i can slide it in and out where it joins the rest of the header, is that normal? and about how much does it cost to have them installed? kind of nervous and wonderin if i made the right choice by getting these instead of something less troublesome. is the hp that much more better?

thanks for the help

if you don't have to worry about emissions, then I say yes, drop the cat along with the airpump and egr (get a egr block off plate for the back of the intake or you'll have a hard time starting your car)
Some information for you, if they (the "exhaust shop") make you a Y-pipe tell them to stay away from Crush bends, and if they do mandrel bends (which is good) tell them not to bend it to 90*, exhaust shops are bad about that....I would say stick with a full 3inch exhaust system, makes no sense going from a 3 inch collector down to a 2 inch y pipe back to a 3 inch cat back system...go 3 inches, JMO. Bigger is better.

That,s a good price, cheaper than I got mine.
I too thought my headers were broken when I saw that number 1 primary. I told my friend that I was sending them back cause they was broken and he said "no idiot, they are supposed to be like that" I felt like an idiot, but oh well. I learn something new everyday.

you'll gain anywhere from 18 on an older worn engine to 22+ for a strong LT1 from longtubes at your rear wheels. YES they are definitely worth it.
