Last night when I was driving home, I got on hit and when I hit second hard I hear this loud howling sound. So I pull over and now when I try and move the car it will start to go then it will feel like someones putting on the brakes and it sounds horrible. Im pretty sure is the rear but I want to hear your guys opinion on what to look for.

 

Would you say you're getting a bad whining sound? Is so I would say your rearend got knocked out of alignment. Might want to check your driveshaft as well. Make sure your axles aren't bent either.

What part of the car was hit?

 

I think he means "got on it", not hit. I don't believe there was any impact.

Yeah, if your rearend just started whining it's doomed.I would only give it a few days before it blows up. I would get it fixed now before something happens and you possibly take out the differential.
