Lightbulb Detonating Camaro

I own a 1993 z28. Sometimes when I floor it while i am driving it doesn't respond the way it should. It lags for a second and makes a different noise then it takes off. There is also a lack of power when it does take off . I don't know much about misfiring or detonation but I thought this was a possibility. I run 91 octane and I have a brand new optispark. Please respond with ideas-solutions maybe.

Re: Detonating Camaro

Like a lack of power below a certain rpm?

A misfire will look like your rpm's are bouncing around when your not doing anything.

Could be fuel pump, plug wires, plugs, cat plugged, and a bunch more. Take it to somebody that won't rape ya and get it checked out.

Noticed that with mine sometimes, it kinda "stutters" at idle/stopping in drive.
