day time running light module

Alright
so 96 Z28 M6.
Heard from a buddy to have control on my lights ai had to disconnect the day time running light module, the clip on the module the most to the right.
So i undid the clip on the right side(pass side, and the orange little clip that goes with it) Start up the car, no lights(good!) but flashers stay stuck, flasher turns on but does not flash. So undo the dash again, and plug everything back in, flashers work.
So the question is, how do i get do disable that module and keep my flashers?. I wanna be able to control my lights.
Thx

J-A

pull up on your emergency brake one click, it will disable the daytime running lights. your brake light will be on but one click wont actually engage the e-brake.

a 96 shouldnt have daytime running lights....thought it was only 97 and newer unless the owner before you or you yourself installed a set-up to have them brighter and running....not sure...

alright...then what do u call it when the lights turn on by themself?
Most GM car's lights are automatically control by some magic eye in the dash. You don't have to turn them on. But i wanna have to turn them on. disable the automatic module that control my lights.

All you have to do to disable your daytime running lights is pop up the sensor on the dash(It is a circle thing next to the defrost vent) connect the 2 wires going into the sensor togther, put the sensor back in to hide the hole, and now have full control of your headlights.
