custom cutout?

Who has a custom cutout, made by yourself or put on by a muffler shop? how much did you pay?

It's not like the "custom cutout" you're talking about won't have to be welded. Just get a pre-made one and pay a shop $30-50 to install it and be done with it. A custom one will probably cost you more unless you already have a piece of pipe with a flange on it.

I had a muffler shop offer to make me a "custom cutout" for $100. I didn't quite understand it. Seems they were baffled a week later when I brought in a $30 Flowtech.

I was wondering this too. The location I would like to put mine in doesn't seem as thou it would work with a standard cutout.
I want to place mineright where the exaust turns to go to the rear of the car right after the Y-pipe merges (I have a Random tech dual cat). That spot seems to be wehere the biggest restriction would be because of the sharp turn. Also, I would still be using the cats, which i want to do.
Anyone else do this? What type of cutout were you looking into?
