custom cai help

Ok I went to the parts store the other day and tried to make I CAI. Lets just say, I did not work. Is there a link or can someone give me detailed instructions on how to make one? I'm sure I could figure it out but it would be a lot easier if i had something to go by. Thanks

alright, this may not be the biggest help but..
i hear the elbow has a 4in opening.
go to some hardware store, buy some 4 in piping
get a universal k/n filter that has a 4 in opening- you'll have to check for that as i have no idea
hook it all up then silicone the joints in the pvc piping and probably at the elbow too
prob cost about 60 bucks all together

it's about what i did to my v6, same idea, just different application
go to firebirdv6.com then mod encyclopedia, then third gen
check out the intake, that should give you the idea and picture in your mind

hope it helps, good luck

edit: sorry, when i say piping, i mean pvc pipes

Wow! That looks great! So that elbow is just the vortech elbow painted? Where did you get the pipe? How do you get a k&n filter that fits like that? Do you have a part #? All I could find were filters with holes cut out--- nothing to hold onto a 3.75" tube with. -Thanks -Brad
