custom CAI
You dont wanna do all that work and only walk away with a 3" Cai. If you are gonna make it yourself you want one that can suck a bowling ball. You need a 4" Cai. The trick to making it fit under the hood is to relocate your ABS down and away from the radiator, there is a bolt under the car that you caan make a simple bracket to and attach there.
The other trick is to get propane flame thing and melt the area in conflict with the abs and the hood and the radiator and get that nice and warm and push it in there to form so you can close your hood.
Paint it Black and your done,, when you get on it big sucking sound.

Re: Re: nice
The MAF is 3"; the K&N Cone filter is 3" so what’s the purpose of making if from 4" pipe???? The K&N CAI has 3" opening and ending, so what is the difference??? Even if you have 383 in your car 3" will be enough...

That CAI wouldn't flow nearly as much as the K&N or Moroso. It looks almost as restrictive as the stock snorkel.

Made my myself as well.
3" PVC, and 2 90* elbows, and the biggest K&N I could find. the EN-1796 filter. Painted it silver, and fits fine, did need to melt and mold part of hte pvc to fit aroudn the abs thing.
