Crank Position Sensor

I installed a Cloyes double roller timing set so obviously, I have to ditch the crank position sensor system. HOWEVER, I forgot to have it tuned out when I had my PCM retuned. I am going to send it back to get that taken care of, but in the mean time, will not having it cause any timing retard or any sort of performance loss or just an SES? Just wondering cuz the car club at my school is having a dyno day next weekend and I wanted to know if I could just wait to resend it out until after.

Re: Crank Position Sensor

From what I understand, the crank position sensor is used only for misfire detection; so it should run fine with the code.

Re: Crank Position Sensor

On LT1s, it is just for misfire detection, nothing else, so, just tune it out when you can
