Crank Hub Help Needed!

Hey-

My cam install was going pretty well until I was re-installing the crank pulley and the bolt boke off. This is the longer bolt you use to get things started before you put the oem bolt back on.

Any idea how I can get the busted bolt out of there?

Things were just going too well...

Help is always appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to pull the hub back off?

I would try that first and see if you can get of vise grips on it, if that dosen't work your going to have to try an easy out.

If I try and pull it off, isnt that going to jam the hub bolt in further?

Most likly not, what kind of puller are you useing? it shouldn't screw the bolt in more. if you really affarid of that then get two long (10ft) breaker bars (steel rods) and put them of each side of the hub and work it off by prying it aginst the sway bar, it well help alot if you hear the hub with a blow trouch for about a minute before you try that.

Puller

Steveo-

I have the kind that screws into the pulley in 3 spots and has the shaft that runs down to the broken bolt.

The pulled shouldn't turn that bolt in, if it feels like it is stop.
