could i have installed my fuel filter wrong?
could i have installed my fuel filter wrong?
i didnt think there was a wrong way to do it and maybe there isnt but i dont know. I was reading another post that a guy had a hesitation problem and that came up, thats my problem too, it runs fine when i dont get on it, but when i give it gas when i am in like 4th doing 40 it bucks and stuff. maybe this is it, i dunno
I've done'em b4 on a few 4th gens and they're a piece of cake! (probably one of the easiest maintainence requirements on the whole car) Unless u r getting the wrong filter it is Idiot proof, the sending side has a plastic coupler with 2 small tabs obn each side that clips in and the recieving side just screws back into the metal fuel line, 5 min job!
Hope this helps!
p.s. Prime the filter about 3-4 times to replace the lost fuel in the lines/old filter, also to releave some pressure take the gas cap off before u take off the filter

You can't install it wrong, since it is threaded on one end and has a quick connect on the other.
