I measured the pistons with a micrometer today and got a reading of 4.023"...so i guess they are in fact .030 pistons, and this proves not to use a pair of calipers to take a reading on a piston. How tight should a piston be in the cyllinder? does it differ with different apps...nitrous or blower? whats the max tolerance a piston should be? thanks

Your best source for this information is the piston manufacturer, as the proper clearance depends on the material and design for the specific piston you are using.
