LoL that guy has a pink converter lol thats funny ok i have the l406e trans so is there a huge drastic difference i am probably eventually going to supercgarge my car. Is it just how long they last or how much torque u get out of it.

As with anything.... build quality starts to play an even bigger role as power goes up. The better converters use better materials like chro-moly, kevlar liners, billet componentry, better bearings, etc.. So they are tougher (needed with more power) and they cost less horsepower and are more "efficient".

Comes down to your combination. It'd be ridiculous in my opinion to spend close to a grand on a custom top-of-the-line converter on a street car that makes 1.5 hp per cubic inch at the crank. It's just overkill. That'd be like running a Jessel shaft-rocker setup and titanium valves on a car that's gonna turn 5500 rpm. So you get my point right?

If you are seriously thinking about supercharging then I'd think about going with a better converter. Then again, I'd only go to the charger if I were looking to put 600 rwhp or better to the ground... but that's just me and your goals might be a bit different.

LOL! Those pretty pink converters are friggin BADASS!! I used to run a cheap converter, and finally upgraded to the pink Vigilante. If you go with a vig. you won't be sorry.

lol i would spray paint mine black or something lol i need to save up some money to get a good converter what is everyones opinion on what i shoudl get?

i cut a 1.74 60' with my TCI, then swaped in a "better" yank 3000 and my best 60' so far is a 1.76. Just so you know.
