Connecting rod side to side clearance (end play) out of spec.

Just got a measuement on my new Scat forgd connecting rods end play. It is sitting at .020" between the two connecting rods.

GM spec say .015" max. on the CR end play.

How big a problem is this?

personally i dont think its a problem
i had an automotive professor who used big block chevy connecting rods in his chrysler 440 block, that gave him extreme amounts of rod clearence he still ran over 700 hp and reliable motors

just out of curiosity, pressed pins or floating pins?

Pins are floating.
I will ask the engine builder on on Monday what he thinks.

the GM spec is for the stock crank/rods. That .020" is pretty normal.

I have read that the rod clearances will really affect the oil pressure.
My main bearings are .0020", rod bearings are .0025" and of course the rod clearances ar .020".

I have the Melling select 10553 pump which is standard volume and pressure, should I keep that or get the GM white spring?
