code 42, ignition control grounded, help please

Hey guys,

My car has been randomly shutting itself off recently. I scanned it and got code 42 for a ignition control unit ground. Is this something that could be a problem? Will I need to replace the ignition control unit? How can I test, find and repair a ground? Thanks
