ever since i have had the car {only on the highway it starts} my engine light has come on. and it turns itself off as well. ive noticed no physical malfunctions/performance loss or anything when the engine light comes on. hooked up the tech2 at work and its givin me the code 32, egr system. so EGR valve? high failure rate? could it be something else.. anyone delt with this at all in the past? i know theres a way to test it all out but i havent gotten the time to do it yet.

any ideas.

 

I have the same thing. I, also like you, could fix it but I keep finding better things to do. I keep meaning to test the EGR and stuff, but since I'm not a huge highway driver I've been letting it go.

 

Its the EGR valve.... Mine did the same thing, after 20 minutes on the road the SES light would light up, then if I stop it would go out.... Changed the valve and no more light....

 

Same here. Change the Valve. I bought a used one off ebay for $16 shipped.
