I am going to buy a set of MAC mid-lengths for my car. I don't drive it in the winter, rarely drive in the rain and it's always stored in a garage. I am just wondering if ceramic coating is necessary?

nope, it's not necessary...personally, i think it's for show...kindda like having NIKE's, as opposed to ASSICS....

a good buddy of mine is a mechanic and does muffler work, and he said that it doesnt really matter for a long time...
