Question Clutch question

What are the symptoms of the throwout bearing going in the clutch assembly? How about the pilot bearing?

I am chasing a ghost problem at the moment and no one seems to know what is causing it.

I had, what i think is the same issue/issues. Nobody has the answer to it. One of my buddies works on Borg Warner trannys and is familliar with them. I let him drive the car, he said he heard the noise, but not to worry cause the throwout bearing is definatly the problem and its most likely not the piolit either. He said it was most likely a grease issue. From the factory they never use enough grease. Does your problem go away after the cars hot, and come and go over time?

No it starts once the car is hot. "Scrapes" right after the clutch is engaged going from first to second. No other gears and not on the downshift to second. Also, only at 3000-3500 RPM. Not consistent either just a phantom.
