I don't know, maybe i'm just paranoid, but when my car's at idle i'm noticing a almost clicking noise... maybe 5 clicks a second.. ish....
I thought maybe it's my valves but not too sure.
I just recently noticed it though. Might have been there all along. anyone know what it might be? if so should i be worried or is it normal.

 

are you running an ignition box? My accel box makes a clicking noise just like you describe.

 

not that i know of . See the reason i think i'm just paranoid is i just put nitrous on my car, but haven't sprayed it yet. Everything is hooked up.. i.e. window switch, fuel pressure saftey switch, WOT switch.... any of thoese you think?

 

No, not if its all turned off.

 

yeah, it makes the sound when the activation is off, see the thing that gets me worried is someitmes i don't hear it, other times i do.

 

I don't have an answer for you, but I think that mine does the same thing. I usually hear it only at idle. Like you said, five clicks or so over a second or two.

I've never been able to track it down though. I thought maybe something was arcing, but I've checked at night, numerous times, and nada...

 

No. Like I said, I only notice it at idle. I've given it gas from under the hood and don't notice the clicking...

do you have a manual? i have noticed mine doing that in neutral with the clutch out, if i press the clutch in, it stops.

 

mine started doing it (or i started noticing it) after I put one of those fuel system cleaner things they sell at autozone in my gas tank to "clean my injectors" and stuff.

It annoyed me so much...but now I don't hear it as much anymore. Maybe I have just started to tune it out.

No i have an A4, also when i'm driving now i hear almost a hissing sound... but more of a shhhhhhh sound
