CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK and Seafoam tip!

After days of scratching my shiny balding head over what the hell could be causing my car to misfire/bog out at low RPMs/high loads, I decided to run some Seafoam through the TB vacuum line in hopes that maybe this would help cure SOMETHING. Running that stuff through, I noticed a noise -- almost like a very very faint valve slap.

"Well," I thought to myself "what the flying ()#&*%@ could this be?" As I bent over for a closer listen, my hair caught in the accessory belt -- I mean, it sounded like the clicking was coming from the driver side of either the Opricrap or the somewhere along the spark plug wires. Problem solved -- got new wires coming in soon and I'm going to run these over the valve covers. While I'm at it, I'm putting in new double platinums and getting some Hooker LTs thrown in... thinking about a new main gasket too because I've been noticing some oil drops if I let the car sit around for 3-4 days.

Okay, back to the Seafoam -- I take it for a drive around the block and it starts throwing the O2 SES... FUDGE! What now? I noticed earlier that many people had the same problem of their O2 getting fouled up after using the Seafoamizzle. Being in a pissed madman mood as I was, I went for a quite abusive drive down to Advanced to return some floor mats... long story short, flooring it and driving like a bat out of hell seemed to clean off the O2 sensor quite nicely!

yea, i think when you run it hard (which you should after seafoam) it pushes all the carbon out and doesnt let it eventually get to sitting on the O2 sensor and kill it
glad to hear it worked good though, i'll be using it on my z28 when i pick it up this week hopefully

Kinda off topic, but arent you supposed to chqange your oil shortly after Seafoaming the car? I want to do mine soon, but I just changed my oil like 500miles ago.

Yes, just wait 'till you're ready for your next oil change before you do it.

How long after the seafoam do you wait to change it? And should I remove my O2's and put the old ones in before seafoaming?

That would work too... or if there's any way of cleaning them off afterwards.

if you already did it, try taking them out, getting them really hot with a blow torch and rub the crap off....but if you didnt, just take them out and let them dangle
