Christmas time!

Alright well since Christmas is almost here ill be getting a little bit of money to spend on the Z. Currently I have CAI and a catback and I was looking to make my ride a little faster. What would be the most improvement in HP that costs the least. Is there anything different I can do since I have a 93 compared to the rest of the 4th gens?

umm lets see, i seen a great improvement with the mac midlength headers, maybe a mail order tune or a set of gears (even though that doesent add hp... its still will wake her up)

I would say gears. I noticed a bigger diff. with my gears then my longtubes.
I went from 323's to 373's..

I found some pacesetter headers on ebay for 300, that sounds like a good deal..and how big of a decrease in gas mileage did you see with the gears?

I would probably put my money towards a set of headers and off-road y-pipe. Can you post a link to the headers link on ebay, 300 is pretty cheap for a set of Pacesetter headers, just want to make sure they are what you need.

Coating is usually a good idea if you have the extra money, if not, then I would at least get some good header paint and repaint those. The paint on there is good enough to get them through the shipping process, once they are installed on the car, that paint will go away pretty quickly and the rust will shortly follow. Also, you will need the Pacesetter off-road y-pipe which will run around 130 bucks as well.

I second 2000GTP, but there is some other stuff you will need like:
Plus gaskets ($40 for Percy's Dead Soft)
Plus header bolts (cheap)
Plus 02 extenders ($40)

But it will make your car sound badass and give you some HP. Gears are a little more pricey than headers though, but most people drop more time with gears though.

well my rpm's at 60mph. went from 2000 to 23-2400rpm's. my fuel mileage went down prob. 2 mpg. mostly highway driving, around 75mph. so the rpm's are up there alittle. around 3,000 rpm's. or so.
