Changing Cam,need info
You'll need to replace the timing chain. I'll let someone else recommend one because I'm on the stocker, which I wouldn't recommend for you unless you are using an electric waterpump(less stress on the chain). You will be able to get the cam out with the condensor in it. Remove the radiator, you may have to rotate the condensor a little, but you can squeeze the cam out. You'll probably have to pull the intake manifold so you can remove the lifters. When removing the timing chain, it's helpful to loosen the oil pan and drop it down, the oil pan gasket forms the bottom gasket for the timing chain in front. If you try to pull the timing chain cover with the oil pan still in place, you will rip the gasket. You also run the risk of messing up the seals that go around the crank snout, opti drive and water pump drive. It's best to drop the pan enough to clear and pull the timing cover straight off.

Rob,i just checked out your Tech Page,very,very detailed as well,all i can say is im very happy i found this website,i think i will keep my 396 Camaro Z now that i have all these technical websites to help me out.
