Center consoles...switch plates???

If I were to get a center console out of an automatic 98-02 camaro, could I just pop out the shifter plate and put my M6 shifter plate in it?

No. The two upper console pieces are totally different for an A4 and M6.

At least on the Firebird they are. I'm not so sure about the Camaro, but I'm 99% sure that you'll have to purchase a new upper console.
