I'm currently running a cc306 in my car and thinking about switching to a xe230/236. My current setup is in the sig. I'm wanting to gain some drivability, slightly lower powerband, better milage. What should I expect with the xe cam, how is the idle, low end power, peak power compared the cc306. My heads currently just have a mild cleanup job done to them.

 

I can't tell you by comparison. I have the 230/236, and it's pretty tame on the low end. A lot of it is from the tune, I think. I get a bit of cam surge at 1500-1800 RPM, but other than that, it's smooth. You can defitely tell it has a cam, but it's not just outrageously lopey.
