which cat-back is best?

I have looked at just about every cat-back exhaust and was wondering which one is best.

I am wanting to keep emmissions legal.

Borla is $700 and Hooker is $350. Is the price difference worth it?

Please help, thanks

Joe

it's all subjective.... get what you like the sound of best. they all provide similar power gains... I like the borla because it is adjustable, and I can make it quiet or loud, and it's stainless so it will last without the problems some people have with aluminized catbacks.

Borla is a very good looking exhaust, and many people say good things about them, but I am saving up for the gmmg because it sounds better in my opinion and is supposed to be one of the best

GMMG?

I have not heard of the GMMG. What is it and where do you find one?

I don't care too much about looks if it is going to cost double and get me the same power gains. Is hooker good, I heard that thier headers are.

Thanks

Joe

the best catback is no catback at all! Anyway, everyone has good things to say about the Borla or GMMG's if you can afford. Hooker is definitely the way to go if you're tight on cash. Or if you're like me, buy some nice exhaust tips, weld them on, and buy a DMH cutout.

I am going with a magnaflow. Its all stainless steel supposed to fit good and sound good. Not as loud as loudmouth...pretty much drone free.I will then likely add a cutout and dmh cutout controller too.

I was into getting a borla but personally don't like the borla tips. And they have priced themselves to the moon I think too.And even hear they don't fit all that great but that might be just on the ls1 cars.

Best exhaust for the money IMO is the Hooker and it was only $282 shipped to my door from Jegs. http://www.freehomepages.com/andyg/Hooker_Launch.avi

Hyperspeed,

You realize we're still talking about catbacks, right?

96Lt1Bird,

Gotta be biased, love the Corsa. Like most people said..it depends on what you want out of your exhaust.

You want it loud all the time? Need stainless? Your budget? Looks important?

You can't go too wrong with all the ones that people have suggested, but best thing is find a buddy in your area that has them installed and hear for yourself.

I "think" catbacks are all legal for emmissions, because they don't move the cats, but could be some noise violations depending on where you live. Not sure, you could ask the manufacturer about your State laws.
