Angry Car wont start check eng code p0336 S.O.S HELP

I hope someone on here can help me i have a 97 camaro ss . It all started 3 weeks ago when my Check engin light came on code "P0336" Crankshaft postion sensor A, circuit range/performance. I ignored it for a few days till everytime i tried to earse the code it kept coming back. I went to autozone bought a new one and it kept doing the same thing, So i thought it was a bad sensor so exchanged it for a new one till last WEDNESDAY driving home the car was acting up and when i pulled into my neighborhood about 3/4 a mile from my house the car just died while driving. Im not a mechanic so i wasnt sure what it was. I do know its not the BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, STARTER. Yesterday I bought a new CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR from NAPA I check everything i could with my eyes on the engine yestury put the new sensor in and the car STILL WONT START.... it cranks and seems like theres power but it wont start... I NEED HELP BIG TIME..... does anyone here have any ideas about this or has had this problem happen to them. Any help will be greatful thank you

MRMINT69 .... I haven't seen a SS with 315/35/17 where did you buy them from. I know the vetts carry them. Im running 275/40/17.

Hit me up im curious for a few reasons

1. where did you find them at
2. did the tires fit right on was there enough space or did you have to do some kind of custome work
3. I know the wider the tire you can loose gas so how do the Cornor and from a dead stop how well do they hook.

Thanks

have you checked for spark and fuel? first steps in diagnosing a no start situation. Have you checked your PCM fuse, fuel pump relay, etc?

Check the wires running to the crank sensor. It gives a code for the circuit, so Id check that out first.

If after all that your still not getting anywhere, good fuel pressure, spark, then post back and let us know so we can continue diagnosis. Gotta know all that first.

We have a "Wheels and Tires" forum for questions like this. There is an FAQ stickied at the top of that forum listing, with a post containing all the info you need to put 315/35-17's on the back of a 4th Gen.

Now that it won't start, you need to get it scanned again. Sometime the P0336 code can be the result of problems with the high or low resolution pulse patterns from the OptiSpark distributor. Failure of the low res pulse from the Opti will prevent the engine from starting.

You can send personal mesages to other users and i believe they would prefer this to just throwing up anything you like. This way the threads stay on task and doesn't jump around.

NO ONE YELLED AT YOU! People simply pointed out:

1) There is a forum with answers to your tire question.

2) You hurt your own chances of getting an aswer to your original question by highjacking your own thread with the tire question. (I guess we didn't realize at that point you has already posted the same question 4 times on 2 different forums ).

After reading your snotty PM to me about multiple posts, it appears your main purpose here is to argue with people. You might want to rethink this approach, or you aren't going to be around here very long. There are a lot of knowledgeable people who are very willing to help you out.... but the way you are acting, the might have second thoughts.

I checked for Fuel and spark cylinder 1 sparks and you can smell the fuel when you try to crank it...

WHERE IS THE PCM FUSE located at ?

I know its not the CKP SENSOR, battery, alt, and i just replaced the fuel filter today !

The p0336 code will not cause a no start condition. it simply means that the signal from the cps does not match the signal from the opti. Now, if you know the sensor is good, and the wiring to it is good, then I would suspect the opti.
