Car will not lose traction, bad or good? (a4 3.23)

I'm not sure if it's just the tires or if there is something actually wrong with my car, but I can't seem to get it to break traction in a straight line. I don't see this in any way as a thing to really complain about, but I would think it quite rare for this car to NOT break traction when you floor it from a start (auto) unless there is something wrong with it. Maybe I'm just freaking out, I'm not sure. Maybe it's the pavement I was driving on. Tonight I was racing my friends RSX-s and we were going from a light, his car is stick mine is auto, he lost traction, I gripped and ripped. Before I even got to 60 he was atleast 5 cars back. Maybe he gave up, I don't know.

The tires on the car are Sumitomo HTR+ 245s. 360 Treadwear, AA Traction and A Temperature. For those of you with autos, do your cars typically break traction from a stand still start?

I used to barely beable to break traction, but I have 2:73s. Once, I put my headers on though..it's a whole different ballgame and I even added Lower Control Arms too.

I got a little bit of a squeak out of them in my friends apartment complex parking lot. What are the warning signs of an opti going out?

I have never taken the car to a track. The nearest one that I know of is Irwindale (SoCal). One of these days I'll take it there and I'll find out. Been meaning to do that along with getting the car dynoed.

Honestly, this is why I love my g-tech. I can see how my car runs compared to how it normally does. Also, I have a few friends I race all the time and know how much I normally beat them by. This helps as a comparision also, much better than the butt-o-meter. Although, different road surfaces can make a BIG difference. Go drive it some on other roads and see how it is.

You can buy a brand new G-Tech Pro (just like in the second link above) on eBay for around $50.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search...0&BasicSearch=

You'll want to know the differences between the lesser G-Tech Pro, and the higher end G-Tech Pro Competition. you can see all that info here

I wouldn't worry about it. My car stock with 323's and RSA's wouldn't spin either. Once in a blue moon it would chirp. I bought my car new and drove about 10 other A4 LT1's before I bought and none of them spun either. A friend with an A4 said his didn't either. I'd say it's pretty normal. One thing to keep in mind is the elevation around here goes from 1500 ft to 3500 or so feet so I'm sure that plays a part in it around here for me.
