car starts fine 5 times in 4 hours....suddenly won't?
never had a problem with the car starting before. started 5 times over the course of 4 hours, then i shut it off for 1 min, come back and it will turn and turn and turn...but not start.
it did seem like it would fire maybe one or two cylinders, but then just crank.
-checked all the fuses
-can hear the fuel pump prime
-let sit over a while, and even overnite (slept in car...fun)
i've been reading the 1001 posts on "my car won't start" and have got some ideas.
i don't think it's the security system. the "security" light comes on when you turn the ign on, then it goes out, leaving only SES and "check gages". still wont start.
tried holding gas to the floor
some possibilities that i'd like some input on:
ignition module
what/where is it? and could it suddenly die? how much is it?
theft deterrant module
same questions? but wouldnt' this cause the "security light to come on?
things i'm going to check (car sitting 20 miles from home)
-pull spark plug to see if it gets spark
-pull coil wire to see if it is bad (although only 1 month old)
-pull fuel line to see if filter is clogged
-back up key
[b] are there any other quick things i should check? i read about a fuel valve taht you can check to see if there is pressure at the motor? what is that?
help please

I had a similar problem on my car. I couldn't figure it out so I took it in *gasp* and it turned out to be the ignition module. IF you can find it and change it, then do it yourself. Unless you have the $$$ for the labor costs.
