Car running rough...

Ok long story short I took my car to an automatic carwash and it has 2 jets that spray towards the front end. The car ended up dieing right there but I got it restarted after awhile and the car ran a little rough the rest of the day.

Now I let it sit for around 24 hours and when I went to drive it again it was back to normal. So I went on a trip to a Motley Crue concert and right when I got about 200 miles from home it started running rough. Not the same as before but constantly rough. It doesn't backfire unless you go WOT then it will a little between shifts. It doesn't miss at all at idle, just idles really rough.

Also when I'm in the car and the speakers are turned up a little I can hear them kinda sound like they are making sparking sounds (not sure how to describe), kinda like a bad ground or something but it only does this when the car runs rough (so it doesn't sound like a bad ground). Also, when it makes that sound in the speakers, the idle drops about 50rpm but comes back right away.

No SES light, car doesn't die, crappy fuel mileage, less than 5k on this opti. Just installed a new MSD Coil today too but that didn't change the problem.

I'm thinking it might be the ICM? Any ideas guys? I've got new Talor OTVC wires from thunderracing I'm going to install tomorrow, but I somehow doubt that will fix the problem. Any help is appreciated!

*EDIT*
Car has 95K miles.

Sounds like the opti is getting wet. Mine is doing it after my mechanic put on my new opti... Suddenly I got the car back, and simply washing the car results in stumbling/rough idle.

Ever try taking a hair dryer to it or something to dry it out? I know I'm tempted.

Or does anyone have an idea how to dry it out?

Last time it happened (about 2 weeks ago) I just stuck it in 3rd gear and drove it pretty briskly down the highway and let some RPM get to work. Got on it WOT a couple times and it straightened out within 5 minutes.

Tried that. I drove all the way back from the concert with it running bad, since then I've put about 200 miles on it. No change

Damn, sounds like the damage may be done. Hopefully you don't need a new opti, but I'm guessing that's going to be the result.

Ok I don't want you to talk anymore

j/k

Anyone think it could be the ICM? What are the symptoms of a dieing ICM?
