car quit need help fast

i have a 2 week old opti and my car would act like it had no spark for just an instance and rpm would drop about 300rpm and then it would run again. it did this for about 30 min and then died when i got off the highway and stoped at red light. no it will start to run if i hold down the pedal. it will sort of run like that and die if i let off. also have a fuel pump that is about 2 months old also. any ideas would be great. thanks in advance
