car problems

I have a 97 camaro z28 .....drove the car for 7 months after buying it used and it ran fine....now the car dies when driving it and will not restart......turns over but not start...after sitting the car will start and run again but will eventually do the same thing???????? I have had the fuel pump changed, fuel filter, new computer, new crank sensor, took apart and cleaned throttle body, had TPI sensor tested(tested ok),had computer flash coded....still the problem......any clues to my problem will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Main thing would be to check all the ignition components! Spark plugs, wires, ICM, Coil and all of the above. Just check them all out to make sure they are working good! Mainly, Just change out the plugs and wires!

Sounds like you need a new opti...

I'd say fuel pump but you already did that...

Maybe the ICM...

When it does this you need to figure out what you are missing. Spark, fuel or both. then you can go from there

Get a manual,I did and it has a lot of good trouble shooting chartsin it ,also if the oil sensor is toast it might kill the engine, good luck

mine was doing the same thing almost...would cough then go dead then ses light would come on...new opti and no more problems plus i can't believe how much better it runs...

Where did you hear that from? SOme cars may do that, but the lt1 will not.

I'm a tech where i work and coming from vast amounts of experiance on LT1's. I almost bet my paycheck it is the ICM (Ingnition Control Module). These can cost in and around $70-$100
