Car Flooding Problems

I have a 1995 LT1 currently with no smog. Decided to put a Granetelli MAF and 52mm Edelbrock Throttle Body. Anyway, it ran like a raped ape for 3-days and then quit when ran hard at idle. Tried to restart it and the engine turned over fast blowing charcoal smoke out of the tailpipes. The ironic thing that confuses me is that I can remove the aftermarket stuff; install the stock and it runs fine.

Replaced my PCM and programmed it with a PCM for less tune for the upgrades and it did the same thing again, only taking a day and a half to flood. Took off the stuff and installed stock once again and it ran great. Some times I think the PCM tune didn't do anything for the upgrades to adapt.

I work at a Chevy dealership, Service Advisor, the performance guys there say that I need to install the smog stuff again and retry. The car was purchased with smog equipment. So I obtained all necessary smog articles from a totalled LT1 1994 Fiebird out of Phoenix and received it today.

Not installed yet, work tomorrow and will install Sunday. Hopefully this will do the trick.

I will update everyone on the progress.

Has anyone had a similar problem like this? And what did you do to rectify the problem?

Sorry I meant to say that it was purchased without smog stuff.

you will not have to install the air pump again. if you're tune is for air pump delete, then you're golden. tell your tuner what kind of maf and throttle body u have

I would put my stock stuff back on 1 piece at a time starting with the mass air sensor untill I found out what it was,or the other way around.
Wouldn't bother with the smog stuff. That isn't what's wrong with it.
