car dies

Today I drove about 20 miles(thats far) and on my way home everythings peachy. Soon as I get off the freeway the car bogs like it's going to cut off, so I let her Idle to the gas station cause I did the same thing when I'm outta gas. Fill up time, Take off from the station but the car wants to die when I give it gas, but she'll idle fine. I had just got off the freeway cruising at about 85. What going on whith my car. It think it might be the intake air sensor, I hope it's not a opti.

try unplugging the maf sensor, had a similar thing happen to me and it was a faulty maf.

unplugging it sends it into limp home mode or something...and if it runs good unplugged you know what's the culprit

and befor anyone says "he has a 93"

i'm guessing since it's a later motor he has a maf on it now

I kept my 93 intake and computer. I am M.A.F. free.
Scanned car and I have no codes. I wish now that I would have used to 95 setup(computer and intake). Obd2 has the ability to store soft codes and trips, unlike obd1 that will only save major codes.

How old is the fuel filter on your car? I had a problem like yours cause the previous owner didn't change it for about 50,000 miles that bastard.

Monitoring it with a scan tool may be the best way to track it down. Checking the fuel pressure would not hurt, either.

Hesitation

I'm having the same exact problem with my 1993 Formula. It idles fine but once I start moving it really gets jumpy and almost doesn't move.
I'm thinking it's the opti. I just got a full service, new plugs, fuel filter, pcv valve, plug wires, and got the fuel pressure tested. It was within tolerance level. And it stopped for about 3 weeks and now the problem is back. I also have a very foul exhaust odor. What do you guys think?
