Exclamation Can tranny make speedo go wacky?!?!?

Today was the 1st time I was on the highway since last week when I got Skull-1 out of the transmission shop. I thought my RPMs were strange. It would hover around 70 MPH even though I know I was doing a little faster. I didn't want to WOT, so I got on it just a little more but I never got above 80. I slowed down just a bit then it jumped down to 50. WTF?!?!?

Could the shop have screwed around with something or put something back the wrong way or what?

its possible they put the spedo sending unit back in the tranny wrong or put the wrong parts in. when i had my tranny done my spedo was reading 65 when i was doing 81 (thats what the trooper said) . when i drove it to the tranny shop it wouldent read untill i was going about 20 mph they looked at it and replaced the spedo gear under warrenty. no problems since. so they may have screwed somethign up

My guess is the plug is loose underneath. That happened to me a few years back and that is what it was.
