Can a LS1 go into a LT1 Carmaro without any major changes?

A guy from my Camaro club has put a LS1 in a 93 Z28.

I think the K-members and the A-arms need to be changed for the LS1 to be dropped in. I am pretty sure there is much more stuff that will need to be replaced, plus the change in weight won't benefit anything but straight line performance since it will throw off the front suspension geometry and your car won't handle all that well. Why not spend the money on heads/cam etc..? Don't waste your money or your time. If you want an LS1, it will probably be cheaper just to sell the LT1 and buy an LS1 equipped F-body.

Ok. I have an LS1 body I bought because I had a wrecked LT1 95 body. I needed a good shell and the 2001 clean shell came around. The only difference in the LS1 motors and LT1 motors use different cradles. No the a-arms are the same. all the suspension is the same except for springs and brakes. Springs have a different rate. But none of this will matter. The only thing you will need to swap to fit the LS1 in is the Cradle and harness's, custom Trans crossmember and custom A/c lines. They are bent a little different. Harness is a tricky one as the LS1 Engine harness is very different then a LT1 harness as they do not hook up the same under the right side of the dash. Also LS1 has different controls for the engine and emissions then the LT1. The crossmember is different as in the LS1 motor and trans is a hair longer. and no the LS1 crossmember will not bolt up to an LT1 body. Braces on the floors are different. The LT1 trans crossmember will not bolt up to the LS1 trans. Been there changed that. But Thats all.
It would be some work but can be done.
