Question Buying 1.6 RR's and LT4 springs. Have quick ???

I'm going to buy 1.6 RR's and LT4 springs.( pushrods and guideplates also) Cam is stock.

Can I reuse the stock retainers and locks with the LT4 springs?

Engine had 63k miles

Thanks,
Dan

The stock retainers and springs will work. Although I did not
weigh them, the LT4 retainers are supposed to be a bit
lighter than the stockers. From what I remember, the LT4
retainers and new locks were pretty inexpensive, so why
not just put new stuff in. While you are in there it would be
a good time to replace the valve stem seals too. I did not
replace mine, but my swap was at 20,000 miles.

If you are going to make the swap sometime after July 6,
I can make you a good deal on my parts. I have LT4 springs,
retainers, locks, and a set of new K-line seals that will be
for sale. I will be installing either the Comp beehive springs
or Isky 235-Ds at the end of the month. The parts coming
off have about 10,000 miles on them.
