brake pedal travel after hitting another car
brake pedal travel after hitting another car
I banged my friend pretty good the other day. I don't see any structural damage. The bumper cover is cracked at the bottom and I smashed the fog lights. That's all.
But, my brake pedal travels more now before I get brake action. By the time I activate the ABS, it's to the floor.
The fluid is still topped off, the cap is good, no leaks. Everything seems to be in place.
What happened?
I've never had the best of brakes, but now they're even worse.

I thought about bleeding them, but couldn't come up with a logical excuse for having air in the lines.
The fluid is not the first bit low. Any idea how that could happen?

It's time to have your brakes fixed...NOW.
If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, get professional help. You might get a couple of estimates from a GM dealer and someone else.
How many miles since last brake job?
