Bolt on LT1 at the dyno
Went to the dyno today. Can't say im upset or happy. Didn't really know what to expect. . Put down 289whp/323tq. Air fuel was pretty close to dead on. Besides the second pull it was a little leaner. Is that normal for my mods? Was done on a dyno Dynamics dyno. Temp was around 85. Pretty much stock with hollowed cats i put down 262whp/ 285tq. Ill get the sheets up tomorrow.
Mods in sig. Only difference is 3.42's and have umi lower control arms and panhard bar. I also have a set of 1.6rr's and crank pulley going in next week to help boost some power |

For the mods listed I think those are good numbers, remember HP does not move the car TQ does!

they dont look bad. Do you have the pcm tune yet?
The crank pulley isnt worth too much but the rockers should be 10-12rwhp all in the upper rpms. Your going to want to spin the motor a little higher with them too. |
You got exactly what is expected of those mods. It's not a weak lt1 to begin with so be happy.

headers and cai. numbers look fine. rockers might put you at 300. i was at 326 with longtubes, factory lt1 ws6 ram air setup and a 224/224 cam with supporting valvetrain, so yours looks good to me. my tq was at 345 tho:)

I ran stock springs with my stock cam and 1.6 RRs Comp Cams Pro Magnums, no problem. When I upgraded my cam, then I upgraded my springs.

I like the TQ curve.......Solid flat across the board......That's a street car that drive with the best of them.
|
Geez! look at that torque curve... well, line.
|
what about a ls lid, ssra or ftra and the rockers springs. Than a cutout.
You should be close to my numbers. its a strong car. |

One problem with your stock springs is that they are 15 years old and probably all worn out. You should probably change the springs when doing the RRs.

I'm heading back to the dyno after the rr install and a tune. I have dual cutouts on my y pipe. Would I see any power increase by opening up both of them?
