Unhappy Blew the Fan fuse, now the fan AND Ignition fuse blew!!

I had some major work done about a month ago, head gaskets, rockers, plugs, etc and everything was working fine until yesterday. I was at a stop light and saw that my Temp was going up until I started moving again. Once home, I found that my fans weren't turning on and that the fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse and everything was ok until this morning, I was backing out of the driveway and the car died. I checked the same fuse which was blown and also the ignition was was blown too. Any ideas on this one??

Thanks

Fuses blow because something in the circuit is drawing excessive amperage. Look at the wiring diagrams for the 95 LT1 on Shoebox's website, and identify all the items that share that same fuse. Disonnect the items on the circuit one at a time, and see which one is related to the blown fuse.

According to the wiring diagrams, the fan relays pull power off Fuse #6 in the underhood box. (The fans themselves are on a suplly via a fusible link). That fuse also supplies the EEC purge solenoid, EGR solenoid, skip shift solenoid, reverse lockout solenoid (M6). Look at each of those devices for a possible short. If you've made some changes near any of those items, might have nicked or crushed a wire. Or fan relay could be bad. There are 3 fan relays, so you could remove them one at a time to see which one is causing the fuse to blow, IF that's the source.
