Biggest Cam and Still pass Emissions (ODBII)
 

Hey Guys, I am trying to determine what is the biggest cam I can use and still pass emissions for ODB II. I have a 96 with Bryan Herter's ODB I conversion and only use the ODB II when its time to do emissions. I have every other bolt on and this is the next step, but unfortunately I live in Atlanta and can only go so large on the cam ?
Out of the list of usual cams, are there any that we know will pass (with the propper tuning) ?

Hotcam should pass no problem. It depends of course on how good the tuning is. Chris Bennight passed TX emmisions with his cc306.:)

Do a search and you will find others that have done basic tricks to pass emissions. Things like timing retard and playing with AFR while keeping the car in open loop during testing. Of course make sure you baby is tuned properly.

With little tricks, I would not worry about it so much. Just get the cam you want.
