beginning mods...what areas to target??

im lookin to start moddin the car soon. its a 97 30th ann. z28 bone stock. i already have the cai/headers/exhaust in mind. that takes care of the airflow. any other areas of the car that are weak and easily upgraded?? ignition, fuel, handling, etc....????

if you're going to do those mods then i would suggest a lt4 knock module and a pcm tune from madz28 or pcmforless. as far as suspenison goes... subframe connectors, panhard rods, and lower control arms all help. is it a m6 or auto?... gears could be a consideration for either.

Update your sig to show if that 97 is an auto or manual.

I recommend:
cai, headers with lt4 km, catback, 160 stat with pcm tune.
For my A4 96 Z..I loved the firm shifts and throttle response was great.

Also recommended:
better tires, good shocks, sfc's, replace wornout bushings with poly bushings everywhere, better brake pads and stainless steel lines.

Consider:
gears, stall or clutch with rear-end prep

I'd also recommend SFC's, and either a stall if you have an auto, or a shifter if you have a manual.

As of right now, your stock fuel/ignition systems will be up to par to handle small bolt-ons, but if you ever go the forced induction route or build a heads/cam motor, then it is time to start looking into that stuff. Otherwise, if it hasn't already been addressed, do a good plug, wires, and fuel filter change.

I would definitely recommend a set of gears, stall, and some drag radials to get ya started. Also i agree with everyone else with the suspension parts. Either way you can't go wrong.
