auto vs 6speed manual

Ok an automatic vs a 6speed, with good drivers in both cars, which is faster???

I would think the 6speed cause of less drivetrain loss and more agressive gears... just wondering though.

Faster where? Street? 1/4 mile? Road track? This has been debated plenty on here and you should do a search.
For the serious competitor, the auto has the advantage in the 1/4 mile for consistency. Plus, there is no one that can shift as fast as an auto can.

I just converted from a M6 to a Turbo400 auto. I lost .3 and 5mph. I only had the auto out 1 time so far. Already I can see the huge advantage the auto has in bracket racing. Much easier to stage, launch and shift.

It is all about shift prgrams, cars like the F-Bodies have a very aggressive program with instant shifts. Cars like Sunfires have a smoother more friendly program.
