I look outside tonight checked for arching, I looked where the plugs go into the head i see blue are where they meet, is this normal? not the wires the plugs are arching

No but I doubt it is normal by any means.

Never looked at an engine that didn't have some form of fireworks at night.
Is it normal? I'd say that to some degree it is.

If you want to check spark plug wire resistance, that would be a good idea and it's easy enough to do.
