Anyone remember this thread?

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...&pagenumber=1I went on Shoebox's site today and noticed that he put a button up, like many suggested, for voluntary donations to show appreciation for all that he has done for this forum. So I made a donation. Here I find out, that I'm the only one that has. Now it could be that know one knew about it. If that is the case, it is no longer. So let all that wanted to show their appreciation with monetary compensation do so. Remember he's got a blown motor to get back on the street.

Rob, I hope this doesn't **** you off.

A reason I hesitated to put the button there was that I did not want people to think I was begging for money. That is not the case at all. I put it there at the urging of others that wanted a way to show their gratitude in a way other than just words.

If it is going to be a source of controversy/ridicule, I will remove it. My page is getting over 500 views a day, now and I get mucho email from all kinds of people (all over the world) with questions. Some page hits come from countries I did not even know existed.

I don't know that I have ever purposely not responded to someone, even if I did not have some info to give them. I am not some know-it-all answer guy. I am just another car nut that doesn't mind sharing/helping folks, starting with a small web page that grew into something bigger.

Hey....easy there killer. It was funny, thats all. BTW, I do help out on here all the time. Just cause I dont have thousands of posts doesnt mean anything. Hell, I have had 3 screen names in the past 3 years all with at least 300posts. This is my newest one. Unlike most, im not obsessed with post count and change my name anytime I come up with one I like more. Anyhow, sometimes you just run across a post or two that seem funny. That was the case. I know shoebox helps people with more questions/answers than most. It wasnt a diss towards him, rather i was laughing at your post. It was funny...just read it and pretend you are me.

Too hard to convey intent in just words sometimes. No problem. My post count is just the way it is for no particular reason. It is not meant to be a badge of honor or anything, lol.

I wanted to explain just to be sure that no one would take things the wrong way. I did not want the thread to be a "runaway" that ends up getting locked or deleted (though it might anyway for lack of technical content) .

Not likely, but I am having second thoughts about my starting this.

I`m glad you pointed it out, I have never seen the Paypal link before. I have been to the site a million times, and Shoebox has been very helpful.

So it appears that a good deal of people here are unwilling to put their money where their mouth is.
