The starter is installed but is not functioning properly. If I wire it up "wrong," it turns the motor over when I try to connect the battery. If I connect it correctly(i think)it won't turn over. Maybe the solenoid is dead? I don't know. We had it connected wrong and I think i killed a perfectly good Optima battery. Maybe we killed the starter as well? I'm going to buy a new starter tomorrow and see. Thanks for the response.
