Anybody use a muffler instead of a converter test pipe?
Anybody use a muffler instead of a converter test pipe?
Am getting a deal on a Flowmaster cat-back for my '94, and want to yank off the converter at the same time. However, I'm not sure I want it THAT loud (I must be getting old!). I was thinking of welding a Dynomax Bullet muffler in it's place. Anybody done something similar? Thanks,
I did something pretty similar
Highly recomend that. The dynomax will only make a minor difference in volume though. It will greatly improve the sound quality though by getting rid of the raspy tin sounds. I have soundclips on my page of the bullet vs the highflow cat, but not of the straight pipe because it sounded so bad i didn't feel like putting it back in just to make a sound clip.
