Another question, optispark not sitting flush (pic)

Another question, optispark not sitting flush (pic)

I'm putting the opti on and the mounting arms won't sit flush against the timing cover. There's about a millimeter gap. I can get a pic.

The dowel pin is slightly shorter than stock (verified with clay) and it is definetly in the right hole. Is this normal?

Mine does that, but with a quick hit with the palm of my hand in the center of the opti it pops right into place flush. I think its the o-ring that is not quit in place on the shaft without the "tap" of the palm.

My non just popped right in first try yesterday, kinda make me unsure it will work.We have keyway shaft though.

if i were u and i talk from experiance i would start put it back togeather except for the water pump and try to start it to make sure every thing is good i no i would of saved me alot of time and head ace
